Accepted Students

Congratulations and welcome to Javelina Nation!   Here are a few things you need to do now. Need some help with these steps? Our contact information is on the bottom of this page.  We would love to assist you!  Now that you are officially on your way to becoming a part of the Javelina Nation, keep in mind you will now be using the big blue arrow on the top left-hand side of the screen to login to your Blue and Gold.

checkboxRegister for Orientation- To do this, you can log in to your Blue and Gold Connection Next, click the link Orientation Registration (Kingsville Campus Only).  From there you can select your orientation session. Once you have completed your registration, return to the Main Menu page in Blue and Gold and click the MoneyConnect Login link. Your orientation deposit fee of $35 should be listed once you log in. Proceed through the prompted steps to complete your payment of $35. Forms of payment accepted include: Credit Cards (MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club) and ACH draft from checking account.  Please note that Visa is NOT accepted.

checkboxSend Bacterial Meningitis Information -  Students will not be permitted to attend Hoggie Days or register for classes unless valid documentation is on file with Student Health and Wellness.  Valid vaccination records, affidavits or certificates should be sent to Student Health and Wellness by mail, in person or by fax at least 15 days prior to your orientation session. check boxApply for Campus Housing/Request Housing Waiver-  Students with less than 30 hours are required to live on campus unless they have been granted an exemption.  If you decide to live on campus, you need to fill out a Housing Application.  Go to University Housing and click on the Apply Now link on the right-hand side. Select which application you will need.  Fill out the housing application and turn it in by e-mail (residencelife@tamuk.edu) or mail to the address listed on the website. If you decide to live off campus, read the information provided on the Housing FAQ website to see if you qualify to live off campus.  If you do, you must fill out the Residence Life Housing Exception Request and follow the steps to request a waiver. 

check boxAccept Your Offer of Financial Aid- Go to Blue and Gold and log in.  Click on Student and Financial Aid.  Next, click on Financial Aid.  Click on Award.  Then, click on Award for Aid Year.  Select the year you are apply for in the drop down box and click submit. Click on the Terms and Conditions tab.  You MUST accept the terms and conditions before you can accept or reject an award offer.  After you have accepted the terms and conditions, click on Accept Award offer.  You may review your award package and accept or reject the offers on this page.  Grants will automatically be disbursed IF you have accepted the terms and conditions. If you have been awarded a Direct Student Loan you will also need to complete loan entrance counseling and your master promissory note. For more information please click here.

Check boxRequest Final Scores and Transcripts are Sent to Office of Admission – Request that official high school/college transcripts be received in the TAMUK Admission Office by August 1st.  If we do not receive your final high school transcripts or any final college transcripts by August 1st, a hold may be placed on your account which will prevent you from registering for classes.

Check boxCheck if you are TSI exempt – The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requires students to be assessed in reading, writing and mathematical skills before enrolling in a Texas public college or university. Students are required to complete the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment tests before enrolling at Texas A&M University-Kingsville unless exempt.  Students are encouraged to take the placement testing before their new student orientation program so they will not miss any of the orientation program or have trouble registering for certain classes.  For more information, click here.
