Fifth-Year Accounting Student Scholarship Program

The purpose of the program is to provide funding to students who need assistance in order to meet the additional costs of the fifth year of college required to sit for the Certified Public Accountant examination. Eligibility for this scholarship is for the student to have completed 120 semester credit hours and sign a written statement confirming intent to take the uniform Certified Public Accountant examination for the purpose of becoming a Certified Public Accountant. The application can be obtained from the Scholarships Coordinator at the Office of Student Financial Aid Services located in the first floor of the Memorial Student Union Building Room 105. The student must have the following:

  • Financial need
  • Scholastic ability measured by grade point average
  • Be a Texas resident


The award is an aggregate of up to $3,000 or the student's financial need, whichever is less.
