Center for Teaching Effectiveness

The Center for Teaching Effectiveness Center was established by the Faculty Senate in 2001 as a resource for faculty through workshops, brown-bag seminars, and discussions. In addition to these activities, the Center today provides faculty with professional development opportunities and instructional coaching for those who wish to enhance the quality of their teaching.

Message from the Interim Director

As Interim Director of the Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE), it is my privilege to offer support to faculty with a variety of programs and resources: the New Faculty Investment Program (NFIP); the Wednesday Noon Seminar Series; workshops on issues pertinent to effective teaching and learning; certificates of professional development in teaching and distance education; instructional coaching; a transculturation program; a library of books and resources; travel awards for presentation of research on the scholarship of teaching and learning; and awards for outstanding teaching. We welcome suggestions and comments on how the CTE can better serve the faculty at TAMU-K.Brenda Melendy
