J. Alfonso “Poncho” Ortega-Santos, Ph.D. received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida, Gainesville. He was appointed to the faculty at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2001 and currently holds the rank of Professor and Research Scientist in the Department of Rangeland and Wildlife Sciences and Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, respectively. Poncho teaches Range Ecology Methods, Range Improvements and Grazing Management and conducts research in Habitat Improvement, Grazing Management, and Cattle/Wildlife Interactions.
