National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) TAMUK Chapter

NSSLHA is an national organization for undergraduate and graduate students in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related programs. NSSLHA strives to give back to the community and to help create a bond between all members. The NSSLHA TAMUK Chapter participates in university events, holds fundraisers, volunteers at nursing homes, provides advice to students in our field, and brings in guest speakers every semester. Student Audiology Forum has become a specialty group within NSSLHA for students with a particular interest in audiological topics related to CSDO.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

  • The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 204,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology support personnel; and students.

Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA)

  • The Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) is a professional membership organization that is the recognized resource in Texas for speech-language pathologists (SLPs), audiologists, the citizens of Texas with speech or hearing disorders (consumers), and students of speech-language pathology and audiology.

National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA)

  • The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is the only national student organization for pre-professionals studying communication sciences and disorders (CSD) recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Established in 1972, NSSLHA is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, and supports 13,400+ members and 300+ chapters at colleges and universities nationwide.

National Stuttering Association (NSA)

  • The NSA is the largest non-profit organization in the world dedicated to bringing hope and empowerment to children and adults who stutter, their families, and professionals, through support, education, advocacy, and research. Our vision is to build on our position as the preeminent organization for supporting people who stutter.
