The Research Spotlight Shines on Dr. Ruth Chatelain-Jardón


The College of Business Administration is proud to announce that Dr. Ruth Chatelain-Jardón, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems, is in the spring semester Research Spotlight. Ruth has enjoyed a very productive semester serving on the 2015 CBA BBA Task Force, MBA Task Force, CBA Curriculum and Standards Committee, and representing the College of Business Administration in the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Faculty Senate. She also served as chair of the 2015-2016 Committee on Committees, chair of the Administration Evaluation Committee and a member of the Texas A&M-Kingsville Women’s Leadership Council. Ruth is also very active in student recruitment for the College of Business Administration where she has taught since 2009.

Dr. Chatelain-Jardón holds a B.B.A. from Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterre and an MBA, two M.S. degrees and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas. Her research interests include learning improvement, knowledge transfer, human-computer interface, e-collaboration, organizational behavior, logistics, supply chain management and culture. She has published nine refereed journal articles, one book chapter and review and has presented 11 conference papers.

Her professional society membership includes the Academy of International Business, Association for Information Systems and the Collaborative for International Technology Studies. We are very fortunate to have Ruth as a member of our faculty!
