Admitted Undergraduate Students

Congratulations and welcome to Javelina Nation! Here are a few things you need to do now that you've been accepted. Need some help with these steps? Our contact information is on the bottom of this page.  We would love to assist you!  Now that you are officially on your way to becoming a part of the Javelina Nation, keep in mind you will now be using the big blue circle on the top left-hand side of the Blue and Gold screen to login.

checkboxRegister for New Student Orientation - Our 2019 summer and fall orientation dates are now open! All incoming freshman and transfer students are required to attend orientation to register for their classes before their first semester on campus.  Visit for more information on our new student orientation sessions.  You can log in to your Blue and Gold Connection then click the link Orientation Registration (Kingsville Campus Only). From there you can select your orientation session. Once you have completed your registration, return to the Main Menu page in Blue and Gold and click the MoneyConnect Login link. Your orientation deposit fee should be listed once you log in. Proceed through the prompted steps to complete your payment. Forms of payment accepted include: Credit Cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover) and ACH draft from checking account.

International students may be required to attend additional orientations. Please see our orientation website for more information.

checkboxSend bacterial meningitis vaccination record - Students will not be permitted to attend orientation or register for classes unless valid documentation is on file with Student Health and Wellness. Valid vaccination records, affidavits or certificates should be sent to Student Health and Wellness by mail, in person or by fax prior to your orientation session. Emailed vaccination records will not be accepted. For more information on bacterial meningitis requirements and possible exemptions, visit the Student Health and Wellness website.

check boxApply for housing or request a housing waiver - First time in college freshmen with less than 30 hours are required to live on campus unless they have been granted an exemption.  To live on campus, you need to fill out a Housing Application. Go to University Housing and click on the Apply Now link on the right-hand side. Select which application you will need. Fill out the housing application and turn it in by e-mail ( or mail to the address listed on the web site. If you decide to live off campus, read the information provided on the Housing FAQ website to see if you qualify to live off campus. If you do, you must fill out the Residence Life Housing Exception Request and follow the steps to request a waiver. 

All other students are welcome to apply for housing but are not required to live on campus. Log into Blue and Gold and fill out the online housing application.  

check boxAccept your financial aid award - Go to Blue and Gold and log in. Click on Student and Financial Aid. Next, click on Financial Aid. Click on Award. Then, click on Award for Aid Year. Select the year you are apply for in the drop down box and click submit. Click on the Terms and Conditions tab. You MUST accept the terms and conditions before you can accept or reject an award offer. After you have accepted the terms and conditions, click on Accept Award offer. You may review your award package and accept or reject the offers on this page. Grants will automatically be disbursed IF you have accepted the terms and conditions. If you have been awarded a Direct Student Loan you will also need to complete loan entrance counseling and your master promissory note. For more information please visit financial aid website.

Check boxRequest to have updated test scores and final transcripts sent to Office of Admission – Request that official high school/college transcripts be be sent to the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Admission Office by August 1st. If we do not receive your final high school transcripts or any final college transcripts by August 1st, a hold will be placed on your account which will prevent you from registering for future classes.

Check boxSubmit your TSI scores or qualifying exemption scores – The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requires students to be assessed in reading, writing and mathematical skills before enrolling in a Texas public college or university. Students are required to complete the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment tests before enrolling at Texas A&M-Kingsville unless exempt. Students are encouraged to take the TSI before their new student orientation session so they will not miss any of the orientation program or have trouble registering for classes. Check boxCheck your acceptance letter to see if you are in the correct major and have been admitted as a Texas Resident for tuition purposes. – Check to see if you are in the correct major before you come to orientation. If you have questions, you can speak with advisors during your orientation to discuss the best academic path for you.  

If you are admitted as a Texas Resident for Tuition Purposes, you will be eligible for in-state tuition. If you have been admitted as a non-resident and you believe you are eligible to Texas Residency for tuition purposes, please visit the residency portion of our website.
