Indian Americans have been contributing to the shape of the United States for many decades. The newest exhibit at the John E. Conner Museum at Texas A&M University-Kingsville provides insight into that contribution. Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation will be on display at the Conner Museum through Saturday, Oct. 8.

The exhibit contains 24 panels with images and descriptive text concerning Indian Americans and how they have influenced the U.S., and one 3-D piece that is a traveling trunk filled with artifacts.

Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation was created by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.

The Conner Museum is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and closed Sundays and most university holidays. Admission is free. For more information, call 361-593-2810.
