College of Business Administration's Center for Negotiation schedules events

The Center for Negotiation in the College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville has scheduled seminars and workshops for the remainder of the semester. 

All workshops and seminars will be held in room 104 of the Business Administration Building. Seminars are $25 each and workshops are $50 each. The deadline to sign up is three days prior to each event.

The Center for Negotiation will have a seminar on Negotiating with Authority Friday, Oct. 21, from 1 to 4 p.m. This seminar will provide ways to reframe stressful or intimidating situations and help people overcome their fears to level the perceived playing field.

A workshop on Negotiating with Emotion will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. This workshop will address how to use emotions to improve focus, strengthen the relationship and help create mutual between parties involved.

A seminar entitled, Dispute Resolution, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. This seminar will discuss ways to get to the core of any dispute and provides tips on how to reach mutually acceptable resolves.

The final workshop of the semester will be Active Listening Skills from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. This workshop concentrates not only on teaching how to be a better listener, but also how to keep dialogues going, whether they are short-term conversations or long-term contract negotiations.
