LNESC A&M-Kingsville College Tour Brings High School Students to Campus

KINGSVILLE (Nov. 2, 2016) – Students from Miller, Moody and Ray High School will visit the campus of Texas A&M University- Kingsville Friday, Nov. 4, as part of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Educational Service Centers Inc. (LNESC) College Tour program. The LNESC A&M-Kingsville College Tour is sponsored by Nissan North America.

The LNESC College Tour is a one-day event for high school juniors and seniors interested in studying science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

While at A&M-Kingsville the 150 students will tour the campus and attend various information sessions. They will hear presentations from representatives of A&M-Kingsville, as well as Sam De La Garza, Area General Manager for Nissan North America, and Feliberto Valdez, LNESC Director.

Each information session provides students with the opportunity to interact directly with university faculty, staff and college students so that they may gain a better understanding of how to apply to college, for financial aid, and explore different degree and career opportunities.  

The students will arrive at 8:45 a.m. and remain on campus until the afternoon.
