Camp Conner provides summer fun for children six to 12 years old

The John E. Conner Museum at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will host their annual Camp Conner for children six to 12 years old. The camp runs from Tuesday, June 13, through Thursday, July 27, with the week of July 3 off. 

Each week will have activities based on a theme. Each age group will meet one time per week.

It is not too early to sign up for the camp, as the sessions fill quickly. The cost is $100 for the six-week camp. No refunds will be given. Registration may be done at the Camp Conner link at the museum website at

As part of the registration process, the participant waiver, indemnification and medical treatment authorization form and talent release form must be downloaded, signed and returned to the Conner Museum, 905 W. Santa Gertrudis on the A&M-Kingsville campus. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All camp sessions will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon with a snack provided by the museum. Campers six and seven years old have camp Tuesday morning. Students eight and nine years old will come Wednesday morning and Thursday morning is reserved for children ages 10 through 12.

The themes for each week include: 

June 13-15—Wild West

June 20-22—More Butter, Please!

June 27-29—Happy Birthday America

July 11-July 13—Life if Better with Amigos

July 18-20—Paint Your World

July 25-27—Fun in the Sun
