Checking Your Financial Aid Status and Messages

Checking Status

Log on to Blue & Gold Connection

  1. Click on Blue and Gold Connection.
  2. Click on Log in to For Students, Faculty, and Advisors
  3. Click Yes on the Security Alert window
  4. Click on Enter Secure Area
  5. Enter your Student ID (Banner ID; K Number) as the User ID, your date of birth as the PIN and login.
  6. Click on Student Financial Aid.
  7. Click on Financial Aid.
  8. Click on Financial Aid Status.
  9. Select the Aid Year and Submit.
  10. Exit.

Award letters are mailed/emailed to eligible students to inform them of the amount, source, and conditions of acceptance of the financial assistance they will receive.  It is advisable to keep the Office of Student Financial Aid informed of address changes.  Address changes may be made at the Office of the Registrar. 

Be sure to log out of Blue and Gold Connection to ensure the safety of your information.

Checking Verification Status

  1. Access www.tamuk.edu
  2. Login to your Blue & Gold Connection
  3. Select ‘Student & Financial Aid’ from the Blue & Gold Main Menu
  4. In the Student & Financial Aid Menu, select ‘Financial Aid’
  5. In the Financial Aid Menu, select ‘Eligibility’
  6. In the Eligibility menu, select ‘Student Requirements’.
  7. Select Aid Year you are inquiring using the drop down box and select ‘submit’.
  8. If you have unsatisfied student requirements, you can determine what is received, needed, or incomplete under the status section.

*Once all requested items are received or waived, the verification process may take 4-6 weeks. There may be messages that can assist you in completing the required documentation.  You will be notified via email once you have been awarded any financial aid.  You can check your awards in Blue & Gold at that time. 

Check Your Financial Aid Messages (if applicable):

  1. Access www.tamuk.edu
  2. Login to your Blue & Gold Connection
  3. Select ‘Student & Financial Aid’ from the Blue & Gold Main Menu
  4. In the Student & Financial Aid Menu, select ‘Financial Aid’
  5. In the Financial Aid Menu, select ‘Financial Aid Status’
  6. Select Aid Year you are inquiring using the drop down box and select ‘submit’.
  7. If you have any messages from the Financial Aid Office, you can view them by selecting ‘messages’ under active messages.
