History: 

Alpha Sigma Phi is a social Fraternity that was founded December 06, 1845 at Yale University. A collegiate men's secret and social fraternity, currently with 172 active chapters. We're the 10th oldest fraternity in the United Sates and continuously offer services and opportunities to over 8,000 undergraduate students and 85,000 living alumni.

Vision and Mission: 

Our vision is to better the world through better men. Our mission is to be the co-curricular and continuing organization of choice.

Core Values and Purpose:

We are a Fraternity founded upon the values of character. Our Values, once secret but made public in 2005, are what make us unique. Our values call us to better ourselves through our actions and words. These are the values we espouse: Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism. Thus our purpose is to Better the Man, through creation and perpetuation of brotherhood founded upon the values of character: Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism.

Requirements:

  • Must be an enrolled student at Texas A&M University-Kingsville
  • Must have a 2.5 GPA
  • Must meet obligations stated in the Fraternity's Governing Laws
