Honors Scholarships
There are several scholarships open only to accepted Honors students.
Bill and Judy Colston Honors Scholarship
Apply through Javelina Scholarships
Eligibility:
- Be a member of good standing in the Honors program
- Successfully completed 60 TAMUK semester hours with an institutional GPA of 3.25 at time of application
- Be member in good standing of either the:
- College of Business Administration
- Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
The McCormick Leadership Scholarship (J. Philip and Jo Ann McCormick)
Apply through Javelina Scholarships
Eligibility:
- Be a member of good standing in the Honors program
- TAMUK Honors students that have clearly distinguished themselves in high school through exceptional demonstration and application of leadership skills and dedication in their communities, churches, schools, clubs, athletic endeavors
- Continue to exhibit exemplary leadership skills while attending TAMUK
HC Alumnus ’14 Essay Competition
Apply through Javelina Scholarships
Eligibility:
- Be a member of good standing in the Honors program
- Completed 24 credit hours in residence at Texas A&M University-Kingsville
- Complete an essay question to be reviewed by committee
- Not received the award in any previous semester
