How to Register

Undergraduate First Time Students

All new First-time in college students are required to attend our Hoggie Days: New Student Orientation, which is in-person. We offer multiple days for you to choose a date that works best for you and family.

At Hoggie Days, you will:

  • Learn more about your intended degree plan
  • Receive academic advising and register for fall courses
  • Meet and connect with the Javelina community – students, faculty, and staff
  • Discover more about Javelina Nation traditions and history

Undergraduate Transfer Students

Transfer students are required to complete Online Orientation, which must be completed prior to meeting with your academic advisor to register for classes.

Transfer Hoggie Days (In-Person Orientation) are optional, but highly encouraged.  At Transfer Hoggie Days, students can connect in-person with an academic advisor, financial assistance, and with representatives from Admissions and Student Life staff – all who can help make sure your transition to TAMUK is as seamless as possible!

Undergraduate International Students

Undergraduate international students must attend Hoggie Days: New Student Orientation to be able to be advised and register for their classes, and complete the Mandatory Pre-Arrival Requirements.  These items must be completed in order to have your holds lifted.  For further assistance, please contact the Office of International Student & Scholar Services.

For additional info please see the FAQ.

Graduate International Students

Complete the Mandatory Pre-Arrival Requirements, then reach out to the Office of International Student & Scholar Services.  This will help you obtain your necessary credentials in a timely manner and avoid delays or penalties in registering for courses.

For additional info please see the FAQ.
