Banner 9


It is live right now! Go to www.tamuk.edu, under JNET, click on the Employee tab and then click on the Banner 9 Admin. This is the live production of Banner 9, and you can start using it now to complete the normal tasks you do in Banner. You can use both Banner 8 and Banner 9 together during this transition period.

Below are some of the frequently asked questions:

Unlike Banner 8 that required Internet Explorer, most major browsers should handle Banner 9 without issues. We do recommend Google Chrome or Firefox incognito/private browser. 

Some keyboard shortcuts in Banner 9 are different from Banner 8 because it opens within a web browser. For example, F5 refreshes the page in Banner 9, whereas in Banner 8 it was used to open menus. Please see the Keyboard Shortcuts.

We currently have a PowerPoint to help you begin navigation in Banner 9. Training videos will also be available soon.

No, Banner 9 works in Firefox and Chrome. Some setup is required for BDM to function in these browsers.

No, Banner 9 uses single sign on so your active directory password will get you in.

Your old banner shortcut took you to Banner 8, you will need to create a new one for Banner 9.
