Message from the Department Chair


As the Chair of the Industrial Management and Technology Department, I would like to welcome you to our Industrial Technology Department's Home Page at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
Our Department offers 
  • Bachelor of Science degree program (BS) in Industrial Management & Applied Engineering Technology.
  • Bachelor of Science degree program in Arts and Applied Science (B.A.A.S) with Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Management.
  • Industrial Hygiene Certificate.
Our insignia is "CARING." We care about students' success and we are committed to helping students from the beginning to the end of their studies. We have been successful in helping placing students in summer internships and/or Co-Ops in various sectors such as manufacturing, government, and service areas. Texas A&M at Kingsville has various opportunities to support students through the Javelina Promise Scholarship, College and Departmental scholarships, and financial aid.
Our BS in Industrial Management & Applied Engineering Technology has been accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Engineering Technology (ATMAE). This Association is dedicated to developing the workforce in applied engineering in academia and industry. Our BS in Industrial Management & Applied Engineering Technology has been designed to meet regional and nationwide industry demands. With this, we offer six different areas depending on your interests and career goals.
Here is more information about our programs:
  • Bachelor of Science degree program (BS) in Industrial Management & Applied Engineering Technology. A total number of 120 hours are required to earn this degree (see our degree plan). This program is offered in the modality of face-to-face and hybrid.
  • Bachelor of Science degree program in Arts and Applied Science (B.A.A.S) with Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health. A total number of 120 hours are required to earn this degree (see our degree plan). This program is offered in the modality of face-to-face as well as hybrid.
  • Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Management. This program is offered in the modality face-to-face as well as online. We have the option to get an MS with coursework with a total of 36 credit hours (or 12 courses). A second option is to work on a graduate research project, and the total number of credits is 36 hours (or 12 courses). A third option is a thesis that requires 30 credit hours and includes 8 courses or 24 credit hours and 6 hours of thesis split in two semesters.
  • Industrial Hygiene Certificate consists of taking four courses. One from Environmental Engineering, another course from Civil Engineering, and two courses from the Industrial Management MS program.
