Texas A&M University-Kingsville Javelina Stadium will now have beer sales during football games this fall.

KINGSVILLE (August 23, 2024) — Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) is introducing beer sales inside Javelina Stadium during football games this fall.

“We are constantly assessing how best to improve the overall fan experience at Javelina Stadium, said Steve Roach, executive director of athletics. “We have listened to feedback from our community and we are excited to introduce beer sales in response to the suggestions of our fans.”

Beer will be sold in 16 oz cans and will be available at the general concession area beginning when the gates open through the end of the third quarter before sales are cutoff. Patrons will be limited to two drinks per individual sale and may not take alcohol outside of the stadium.

Fans buying beer are required to present ID with every purchase. All outside alcohol remains prohibited at the facility.

Security will be enhanced at the stadium, with the TAMUK University Police Department ensuring a safe and family-friendly environment.

“Our fans have consistently demonstrated their ability to celebrate responsibility during our traditional tailgates, and we are confident fans will continue to embody the spirit of Javelina Pride as we launch this new offering,” Roach said.

Sales will begin on Thursday, Aug. 29 during the Javelinas’ home opener against Colorado Mesa at 7 p.m.
