American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES)
The AAEES chapter of Texas A&M University-Kingsville is committed to bringing the student community together in the interests of protecting public health and the environment. It is our goal to provide professional development opportunities for EVEN and EVS students.
American Association of Drilling Engineering (AADE)
American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE) provides a forum for the exchange of information, among its members and guests, specifically on drilling related topics. AADE Texas A&M-Kingsville student chapter assists students in transforming the educational experience into more practical experience, advance interests common to campus community, increase awareness of not only the technical aspects of drilling industry but also Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of drilling industry.
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
The ACM is the world's largest educational and scientific computing society. We are the student organization for Computer Science majors, though any major is welcome to join.
Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI)
The purpose of the Architectural Engineering Institute is to promote an appreciation and understanding of the ideas and objectives of The Institute, to promote and forward the same within the territory of the Chapter, to emphasize and promote professional, social, and fraternal aspects of student activities on campus and within chapter, to encourage fellowship, cooperation, and unity between members of this Chapter and other student chapters, and to enlarge chapter members’ understanding of the current and future scope of Architectural Engineering practices.
Association of General Contractors (AGC)
The AGC Texas A&M-Kingsville Student Chapter is involved with local volunteer events and networking with practicing contractors apart of the AGC of America. We stand to prepare our members for commitment to public safety through engineering practices and produce leaders as a subset of the Construction Leadership Council.
American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE)
The American Institute of Chemical Engineering, Texas A&M-Kingsville chapter, is dedicated to provide Chemical Engineering students with experiences that will teach them something rather than course work. Its aim is to help the students build network connections and to prepare them for the real world. Through its activities, AIChE will help students build leadership and teamwork skills that will help them throughout their career.
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
The American Society of Civil Engineers is involved with multiple projects around the community and campus. ASCE prepares members for the Civil Engineering field by providing networking opportunities through national conferences and field trips to industry sites to gain very important knowledge.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers purpose is to promote and enhance the technical competency and professional well-being of its members, and through quality programs and activities in mechanical engineering, better enable its practitioners to contribute to the well-being of humankind. ASME sets internationally recognized industrial and manufacturing codes and standards that enhance public safety.
Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA)
The main objective of AWMA is to provide students a common platform to advance in their environmental knowledge and to develop their professional skills in the air quality field, air pollution control and waste management. Overall, the chapter spreads environmental awareness amongst the community.
National Civil Engineering Honors Society (Chi Epsilon)
The purpose of Chi Epsilon is to honor students in the fields of Civil and Architectural Engineering who exemplify the principles of Scholarship, Character, Practicality, and Sociability. Chi Epsilon was organized to recognize the characteristics of the individual civil engineer deemed to be fundamental to the successful pursuit of an engineering career, and to aide in the development of those characteristics in the civil engineering student.
Engineering Student Council (ESC)
The purpose of the ESC is to serve engineering student organizations by facilitating communication among member organizations, organizing programs and events, providing a resource of information about engineering student activities, and serving as a collective voice for the engineering student organizations. The ESC promotes the recruitment and retention of students to the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering.
Eta Kappa Nu - Electrical & Computer Engineering Honor Society (HKN)
Eta Kappa Nu is a unique membership organization dedicated to encouraging and recognizing excellence in the electrical and computer engineering fields. Student members are selected on the basis of scholastic standing, character, and leadership. Through a variety of service programs and leadership training, student members develop lifelong skills that earmark them for prominent positions in industry and academia. Members are much better prepared for the post-college world and are especially valuable and attractive to employers.
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE)
IEEE is a nationally recognized membership consisting of engineers and other technical professions related to the field. The organization offers all students opportunities and benefits, such as networking with future employers or internships. In addition to helping with your future goals, the organization also welcomes like-minded individuals seeking an organization willing to compete in national IEEE conferences.
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
NSBE’S mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
Omega Chi Epsilon - National Honor Society for Chemical Engineering (OXE)
OXE is an honor society for Chemical Engineering students that demonstrate leadership and a high level of academic achievement.
Robotics Club
The purpose of the Robotics Club is to create a general interest in robotics among students. This includes but is not limited to: offered courses at A&M-Kingsville, various competitions, a general knowledge in fundamental robot design. This organization hopes to instill in students a basic knowledge of robotic properties such as programming, building, and exhibition.
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
Our purpose is to promote and develop leadership and teamwork skills through projects such as the production and competition of a Mini-Baja Vehicle.
Mexican-American Engineers and Scientists (MAES)
MAES is one of several membership–based organizations that represent Latinos in engineering and science. MAES is a source of expertise on barriers to and methods for improving educational access and attainment. The society recognizes the importance of encouraging more youth to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as a means for economic advancement and workforce development.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
The SHPE organization’s main objective is to promote the advancement of Hispanic students in the field of engineering. This group attends the national career fair and regional leadership conferences every year to allow the members of this chapter to network and possible obtain job opportunities with companies of their interest, and obtain better leadership skills. This group is also involved with fundraisers for the campus and encourages possible prospects to become interested in the field of engineering.
Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
The purpose of SPE is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for students to enhance their technical and professional competence.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
This organization is dedicated to supporting women in engineering and technology. We are here to provide support to young women in a male dominated environment. We help them to exceed expectations and to grow as leaders on campus and in their chosen career. We strive to better our community by hosting outreach events teaching young women about engineering and doing community service.
Water Environment Association of Texas and Texas American Water Works Association (WEAT/TAWWA)
WEAT/TAWWA educates students on water quality treatment practices and techniques, networking with industry peers who are passionate about working for clean water, and develop professional growth.
Tau Beta Pi - The Engineering Honor Society (TBP)
Tau Beta Pi is the 2nd oldest honor society in the United States and accepts all engineering students into its membership. The Tau Beta Pi Association was founded at Lehigh University in 1885 by Edward Higginson Williams, Jr., to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as students in engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges.
