Stephen Oller, PhD, is a Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program at TAMUK. Dr. Oller earned both of his degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He joined the program in 2005 and served as program director for several years. Dr. Oller has co-authored four books covering topics from an introduction to communication sciences and disorders, autism, and language development. He has published and presented papers regarding assessment of language, autism, student performance, and sign theory. In 2012, Dr. Oller was awarded the Annual Faculty Lecture for his work on the Milestones Scale of Development and its application to the assessment of ASDs.
