All TAMUK students in good standing are eligible to participate in PSGP. All PSGP are rigorous and more students than can be accommodated express interests; therefore, historically, only undergraduate students with superior academic records have been accepted. Typically, participating students have at least been sophomores. Graduate students in good standing may also participate in PSGP.

Students from any major can participate. All successful PSGP students will earn three advanced political science credit hours. Highly motivated students might be able to participate in multiple PSGP and earn additional advanced credit hours.
