Incoming Students FAQ
A: Admission to Texas A&M University-Kingsville - there is not a deadline for admission, but you are strongly encouraged to submit your admission application as early as possible. To be considered for Federal Financial Aid, please submit your financial aid paperwork prior to these priority deadline dates:
Fall - March 15
Spring - November 1st
Summer - May 1st
For scholarships, incoming freshmen students should be admitted by December 15th to be considered for the Presidential Series Scholarship. In addition, incoming freshmen should complete the Javelina Online Scholarship Application by the deadline of February 15th for all other general and departmental scholarships. Transfer students should complete the Javelina Online Scholarship Application by June 1st to be considered for general and departmental transfer scholarships.

If you qualify for a grant or scholarship, these are an excellent way to finance some of your college education because they do not have to be repaid. A: The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You must complete it to be considered for both federal and state financial aid in the form of grants, loans, and student employment. Forms are available from any local high school guidance office, community college, or university financial aid office. The form can also be completed online at Federal Student Aid. For more information, you can contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-fed-aid (1-800-433-3243) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Eastern time).
