Students who have experienced a hardship or who have encountered an unforeseen circumstance impacting their ability to pay for college may be eligible for additional financial assistance (exceptional aid). In order for the Office of Financial Aid to make a determination of eligibility for this exceptional aid, students should meet the following requirements:
- Have completed and submitted a Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the aid year in which the student is requesting funds
- Title IV eligible
- Be currently enrolled
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) conditions
- Demonstrate unmet financial need
- Have completed all paperwork required by federal and state entities to make a determination as to eligibility (e.g. no outstanding verification documents)
