Hardware Purchase Procedures

To ensure that all hardware purchases meet the university's standards, purchasers must obtain a quote from an ITS-approved vendor. For all standard hardware purchases, ITS highly recommends going through GTS.

Below are the steps to obtain a quote and proceed with your purchase:

  1. Select a Device:

    • Choose a device from the list of ITS-approved standards, (shown below).
    • If you need a device that is not on the list, please complete the Non-standard Hardware Exception Request form. Our ITS team will review your request and notify you of the decision.
    • If you need assistance in selecting the best product for your needs, kindly submit an IT ticket request for a consultation. A member of the ITS team will reach out to provide personalized assistance.

  2. Request a Quote:

    • Please email GTS at requests@gts-ts.com to request a quote.
    • Be sure to include the device make and model, along with the quantity needed.
      • Example: “I am requesting a quote for (5) Dell Latitude 5550 laptops and (5) Dell 34" Curved USB-C Hub monitors.”

  3. Proceed with the Purchase:

    • Once you receive the quote, you can move forward with the purchase.
    • Please allow 1-2 business days for GTS to process your quote request.

Purchasers can choose between the Cisco 8851 and 8832 Conference Phone for their area(s). 

To request and purchase a new phone, please submit a Help Desk Ticket and provide the information requested. A member of our ITS Network Team will reach out to you with pricing and further instructions.
