The Characteristics of Doctoral Programs were developed by the Coordinating Board's Graduate Education Advisory Committee (GEAC) to provide a snapshot of doctoral programs offered by Texas public universities and health-related institutions. The information presented in the Characteristics serves as a reference for the general public who are interested in doctoral education, including prospective students and their families. The Coordinating Board has adopted rules for the Characteristics of Doctoral Programs, which may be accessed online: Texas Administrative Code.
