Transfer Excellence Scholarship
Transfer students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher may also be eligible for the Transfer Excellence Scholarship. Awards range from $1,000-$4,000.

Students with formal training in occupational or technical studies can earn a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences while building on credits they may have already earned. The flexible BAAS program is especially appropriate for those who have earned an Associate of Applied Science degree. Working closely with advisors, students can tailor their BAAS program to reflect their professional and career goals. The University currently offers BAAS programs with specializations in:

Transfer students:

Have earned 12 or more transferable hours of college credit after high school graduation (during a fall/semester)

Have not previously enrolled at Texas A&M-Kingsville as an undergraduate student

Are U.S. citizens, have applied for permanent residency, or qualify for Texas residency based on Senate Bill 1528
International transfer students:

Are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States

Have not graduated from a Texas high school after three years in residence in Texas
-
Have enrolled in a post-secondary institution, and have earned college credit after high school/secondary graduation (during fall/spring semesters)
- Must be enrolled in 15 hours minimum
