Texas A&M-Kingsville student symposium features gender discussion

The Women and Gender Studies program at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will host a Student Symposium at noon Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Blue Room of Sam Fore Hall.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. S. Ayse Kadayifei-Orellana, associate director and assistant professor of the practice at Georgetown University’s MA program in conflict resolution. She will talk about Peacebuilding in a Complex World: Experience from Muslin Women.

All disciplines are welcome as are poster and paper presentations and other work including visual, literary, music and performance art.

Co-sponsors are the Departments of History, Political Science and Philosophy; Language and Literature; and Psychology, Sociology and Criminology; the Social Work Program; the Multicultural Affairs Office; and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
