The College of Education and Human Performance (CEHP)prepares professionals for positions of responsibility and leadership in a global society. Faculty and staff are dedicated to enabling students to attain high academic, professional, and ethical standards that promote student achievement and lifelong learning. Graduate Degrees

At TAMUK, the College of Education and Human Performance offers several degrees at the Masters level and two degrees at the Doctoral level (Educational Leadership and Bilingual Education). Information about our graduate degree programs is listed in the link below. Each department has its own webpage which also features more detailed information about our graduate degree programs, the faculty, and admissions information. Are you ready to take your education to the next level? If so, welcome to the College of Education & Human Performance at Texas A&M University-Kingsville! Today, the College has had thousands of majors at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. We have a long, storied tradition in excellence for preparing educators, researchers, and administrators who serve across South Texas, the state, the nation, and the globe. Our alumni have achieved great success in the classroom, athletic fields, medical sciences, and in administrative capacities. We Teach Texas!

We Teach Texas, an initiative of The Texas A&M University System, encourages prospective students to pursue teaching careers at one of the 11 system universities, including Texas A&M-Kingsville. When South Texas State Teachers College, now Texas A&M-Kingsville, was founded in 1925, it was for the purpose of training teachers. The university continues to remain a leader in teacher education in Texas.

The Premont Alliance

A unique five-year educational alliance between the Premont Independent School District and Texas A&M University-Kingsville yields success for both sides, and is serving as a model of K-12/higher education partnerships across the country

National Student of the Year!

Cerelia Diaz, a 2017 Texas A&M University-Kingsville graduate is the recipient of the 2017 National Student Teacher of the Year awarded by the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) and Kappa Delta Pi (KDP). The award ceremonies will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada during a formal dinner at the Flamingo Hotel on February 19th, 2018. More Info
