Who I Am

I am a Rio Grande Valley native. When I was choosing universities, I knew I wanted to stay close to home so Texas A&M University-Kingsville was the best choice for me to continue my education. During my time at TAMUK, I worked at a student graphic designer for the Student Health and Wellness department, and was involved in several student organizations. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in May 2016.

In 2017, I worked for University of Texas at Austin as an AmeriCorps Advise TX Advisor where my priority was to assist underprivileged high school seniors in PSJA Southwest ECHS, Pharr, TX. One of my goals was to increase college admission & enrollment for graduating high school seniors.

What I Do at Texas A&M Kingsville

Present day, I have come full circle, and I am the graphic designer for TAMUK’s Marketing and Communications team. One of my main responsibilities is designing print material for Admissions and various departments throughout the campus.

My Texas A&M- Kingsville Story

I knew from the moment I visited TAMUK as a high school student, I wanted to be a Javelina. The proximity to the RGV was a big factor in my choice, but what I fell in love with was the close knit community that is Kingsville. Now that I have been given the opportunity to be a part of this community again, I can’t wait to help TAMUK leave the same positive impact on future students.
