Graduate Degree

Certificate in Construction Management

The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering offers a graduate level, transcripted Construction Management Certificate.  This certificate provides a professional credential focused on the management of large-scale construction projects.  The Construction Management Certificate is open to all graduate students with a four-year degree in engineering or a closely related field, as well as to undergraduate students who satisfy concurrent enrollment criteria for Texas A&M University-Kingsville graduate classes.  The certificate in Construction Management can be completed jointly with the Engineering Project Management Certificate provided the additional 6 SCH course requirement (see below) is met.

Certificate Requirements

The Construction Management Certificate requires a total of 12 SCH (4 courses), and at least 6 SCH (2 courses) must be in addition to degree requirements applied towards any other graduate program.  Students must earn a "B" or higher in all courses applied towards the Construction Management Certificate.  All students must complete CEEN 5326 (Advanced Construction Management).  Students may then select the remaining 9 SCH (3 courses) from the following elective lists.
