Javier Mendoza


Academic Advisor IV

Javier A. Mendoza is currently an Academic Advisor for the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.  Javier was previously employed with the Department of Special Programs as an Academic Advisor working with a diversity of TAMUK students in TRIO and federally-funded programs.  While in college Javier worked part time at the historical King Ranch Inc. just a few minutes from campus. 

Javier is a 2007 graduate from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology. He also received a Master’s degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2011.

He is involved on campus and within the community.  Javier is a member of the Javelina Alumni Association and Javelina Athletic Booster Club.  As well as being involved with his church and participating in different community events.

Javier enjoys working with student and watching them mature and earn a college education to become productive members of society.  While not being on campus Javier spends his time with his family and friends as well as hunting, fishing, and working at the family ranch.
