Department of Rangeland and Wildlife Sciences
The department's curriculum not only provides students with foundational knowledge in basic and applied range and wildlife management, but also teaches them how to apply that knowledge. We emphasize the development of creative thinking and communication skills that will make our students stand out above the rest and be true leaders in the profession. Students are exposed to the most advanced research and management technology through our award-winning professors and research units such as the world-class Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute.
The college also boasts of award-winning student organizations such as the Texas A&M-Kingsville Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society and the Range Plant Team. One thing is for sure–our students get their hands dirty–with experience..
