B.S. in Kinesiology
(EC-12 Physical Education)
For those students interested in teaching physical education and coaching, this degree qualifies students to sit for the TExES examination which can lead to a teaching certificate in physical education. The degree requires a support field which can serve as a secondary teaching field.

Physical Education Degree Plan
B.S. in Kinesiology
(Exercise Science)
This degree plan is chosen by students wishing to work in exercise and movement settings outside of the schools (e.g. corporate/commercial/ industrial fitness, rehabilitation/therapy, non-school athletic settings, etc.). This degree plan requires a support field which serves as the graduate's secondary area of expertise.

(Exercise Science/Performance Psychology)
This degree plan is chosen by students interested in pursuing careers in marketing, coaching, personnel management, human services, and various therapy systems, or in pursuing a graduate degree in the fields of sport psychology, health psychology, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy. This degree plan requires a minor in psychology.

This degree plan is chosen by students wishing to apply to rehabilitation/therapy school (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractry, etc.). This degree plan requires a support field in biology.

Pre-Physical Therapy Degree Plan

B.S. in Kinesiology
(Sport & Leisure Studies)
This degree plan is chosen by students wishing to enter careers in youth work such as Boys & Girls Clubs, private sports instruction, civil service, or other professions where health, fitness and exercise knowledge are essential but do not require a teacher certification and the in-depth exercise science or business preparation offered by the other degree plans (e.g., camp counselor, firefighter, private tennis instructor, police officer, lifeguard, border patrol agent, etc.). This degree plan provides students the flexibility of course selection to meet the preparatory demands of these career fields.

B.S. in Kinesiology
(Sport Business)
This degree plan is chosen by students wishing to pursue non-teaching/non-coaching careers in the sport industry in high school, college, amateur, or professional sports settings, or in private or public sport business. Career settings for graduates may include sport marketing/promotions, professional sports franchises, special event planning, convention/facility direction, the sporting goods industry, television/radio/print media relations, university and scholastic athletics/governance, sport publications, advertising/graphics, sport tourism, and club management, or sport camp/recreational programs. This program is highly interdisciplinary with courses in the College of Business Administration (CBA), and in the Department of Communication in the College of Arts & Sciences, and requires a formal minor in business administration.

Health Minor
With the exception of those on the Sport & Leisure Studies degree plan, kinesiology majors and non-majors may choose to minor in health.
Kinesiology Minors
Non-kinesiology majors may choose to minor in kinesiology. Students may select from one of the following minors based on their specific interest:

- Kinesiology-Physical Education
- Kinesiology-Sport Business
