CPT Robert M. Kibbe


Captain (CPT) Robert M. Kibbe was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the US Army on December 1st, 2011 under an O9S contract. He completed Basic Combat Training (BCT) at FT Benning, Georgia on May 31st, 2012. CPT Kibbe attended Officer Candidate School at FT Benning Georgia and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on August 23rd, 2012. CPT Kibbe’s military education includes the Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course (EBOLC), Sapper Leader Course and the Engineer Captain Career Course (ECCC).

After EBOLC, he was assigned to the 382nd Sapper Company in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He served as a Platoon Leader in a Modular Engineer (Sapper) Company with a world-wide contingency mission. During this time, he earned a Masters in Education through Wilkes University. After completion of his Platoon Leader time, he served as the Executive Officer (XO) for the 427 Movement Control Team Detachment (MCT) at Willow Grove Air Force Base. After completion of his XO time, CPT Kibbe served as an Assistant S3 Officer in the Force Protection Cell for the 77th Sustainment (SUS) Brigade (BDE). In 2019 CPT Kibbe took over as the Counter Isis Train and Equip Fund Branch Chief for the 77th SUS BDE while deployed to Kuwait/Iraq. After the deployment he was accepted into the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) program. He was assigned to the 411th Engineer (EN) Brigade Headquarters as an Assistant S3 Operations Officer. While serving at the 411th EN BDE he attended and graduated from the Sapper Leader Course. He then attended and graduated from ECCC in October of 2023. In March 2024 CPT Kibbe completed a Masters degree in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

CPT Kibbe deployed to Kuwait/Iraq in 2019 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield. His awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (2OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/ M Device, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and Sapper Tab.
