Everyday Well-Being

Work-Life Balance Basics

  • Get enough sleep: adults are recommended to get 7-9 hours of sleep
  • Reduce stress: make sure to speak to your supervisor if your workload becomes unmanageable or Employee Services if you would like to request an accommodation. Most importantly, leave work at work.
  • Make time for self-care: allocating time in your day to explore things that you enjoy or need is extremely important for your overall well-being. If you do not have downtime every day, make a list of things you hope to complete or accomplish in the short-run, so you do not forget about them.
