Master of Science

The Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program prepares graduate students:

  1. with fundamental concepts as well as practical knowledge of modern engineering,
  2. for immediate engineering challenges and scholarly or professional advancement, and
  3. with an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities, including economic, environmental, and societal aspects.

Basic Admissions Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or closely related majors.
  • Undergraduate GPA of no lower than 2.6.
  • No more than two repeated undergraduate courses.
  • GRE Score of 295 or above.
  • TOEFL score of no lower than 550 (paper-based) or 79 (IBT).
  • Convincing purpose of the statement.
  • Strong letters of recommendation.
