Honors Scholarships

There are several scholarships open only to accepted Honors students.

 

Bill and Judy Colston Honors Scholarship

Apply through Javelina Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Be a member of good standing in the Honors program
  • Successfully completed 60 TAMUK semester hours with an institutional GPA of 3.25 at time of application
  • Be member in good standing of either the:
    • College of Business Administration
    • Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

 

The McCormick Leadership Scholarship (J. Philip and Jo Ann McCormick)

Apply through Javelina Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Be a member of good standing in the Honors program
  • TAMUK Honors students that have clearly distinguished themselves in high school through exceptional demonstration and application of leadership skills and dedication in their communities, churches, schools, clubs, athletic endeavors
  • Continue to exhibit exemplary leadership skills while attending TAMUK

 

HC Alumnus ’14 Essay Competition

Apply through Javelina Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Be a member of good standing in the Honors program
  • Completed 24 credit hours in residence at Texas A&M University-Kingsville
  • Complete an essay question to be reviewed by committee
  • Not received the award in any previous semester
