Shelly Salazar is currently an Academic Advisor for the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Shelly graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Agriculture Science and her Masters in Agriculture Education from Texas A&M University. Shelly taught Agriculture and English, at the secondary level, and was a College and Career Advisor before joining the Javelina family as an academic Advisor.
Shelly serves as an adjudicator for Title IX at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She is also active in the community and serves on the board for the Kingsville Boys and Girls Club.
Shelly lives in Kingsville with her husband, Manny, and two spoiled dogs, Jake and Maggie. In October 2018 they completed their family by adopting a baby boy named John Carter. When not working, Shelly loves to hang out with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and enjoying time at her family's ranch.
