Marcella received her Bachelor of Science in Animal & Wildlife Veterinary Technology from Texas A&M University - Kingsville in 2018 and later became a Licensed Veterinary Technologist. She completed externships at Texas A&M University's Small Animal Hospital as well as a local veterinary clinic where she continued to work through college. After graduating, Marcella began her career working in a local mixed animal veterinary clinic for almost three years, where she eventually became the lead vet tech. She then moved on to work as a hospital vet tech at a primate breeding/housing facility. While there, Marcella became proficient in laboratory animal treatment and had the opportunity to observe and interact with primates, sparking a strong interest in animal behavior. Throughout her career, Marcella has been eager to teach and guide new veterinary technicians in the workplace. This passion led her to join the Texas A&M University - Kingsville, Department of Animal Science and Veterinary Technology staff as an instructor in October 2022.
