What influenced you to become a veterinary medical professional?
I wanted a place where I could care for animals, use my hands, and ask all the questions. I can't say there was an "ah-ha" moment; I can't remember a time where I didn't know veterinary medicine was where I wanted to be. I was fortunate to have opportunities with family pets, 4-H, our local animal shelter, and veterinary clinics growing up where I got to learn about and experience veterinary team dynamics. I decided I wanted to be a veterinary technician - the one running around everywhere, doing all the things.
