Dr. Cariann Galloway


Assistant Professor of the Professional Practice-DVM and Jo and Bruce Gunn Endowed Director for the Veterinary Technology Program

Cariann Galloway is an adjunct professor for the Veterinary Technology Program in the Department of Animal Science and Veterinary Technology at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  She grew up in Corpus Christi, TX where she graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 2001.  Dr. Galloway received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2005 and then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University-College Station in 2009.  After graduating from veterinary school, she worked full time in a small animal/equine practice for five years before moving to Beaumont, TX in 2014.  From 2014-2016, Dr. Galloway worked as a relief veterinarian at multiple practices and worked at a small animal emergency clinic on weekends.  She moved back to Corpus Christi in 2016 where she went back to work part time at the practice where she worked after graduating from veterinary school.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) as well as the Coastal Bend Veterinary Medical Association (CBVMA).

Although she always loved animals, Dr. Galloway’s interest in veterinary medicine stemmed from her years riding and showing horses competitively in showjumping.  When Dr. Galloway is not teaching or practicing veterinary medicine, she spends time with her husband and two children, Kyleigh and Kase.  She is also an avid runner.
