Requesting Accommodations through AIM:

You will use your Desktop/JNET ID and password to log into your AIM account and request accommodations at the beginning of each semester that you use DRC services.

Sign in to AIM using your JNET ID

  1. As soon as you sign in, you will see two E-Form agreements that will appear in your Dashboard. These E-Forms are your Student Rights and Responsibilities as they pertain to you. Please read and provide your electronic signature before proceeding.

 

  1. Next, AIM will automatically take you to your Overview page where you will select your accommodation for your classes. Begin with Step 1.
    1. Step 1 – “Select Class(es)” click this button to select all the courses you will request accommodations for.
    2. Step 2 – “Continue to Customize Your Accommodations” click this button to select the accommodations per course. This page will expand your courses to allow you to select the accommodations you require per course. You must select the accommodations for each course separately.
    3. Step 3 – Click “Submit You Accommodation Requests” button. This will generate Faculty Notification Letters (FNL) that will be sent to your professors.
    4. Step 4 – Follow up with each faculty/instructor/professor after the FNL have been emailed to them to discuss your accommodations; DRC recommends that you meet with your professor (during office hours or schedule an appointment to meet), although you may consider sending an email to make such arrangements.

Important Notes:

  • AIM generates the current semester course data from TAMUK's student information management system called Banner. Please allow up to 48 hours from the time that you completed your course registration in Blue & Gold for the courses to generate in AIM.

 

  • Approved accommodations are determined during the intake process when you first registered with the DRC. You can modify your accommodation request at any time during the semester; however, accommodations are not retroactive.
